PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple, quick and precise immunoassay method. SOLUTION: This immunoassay method for an analyte includes a process for making the first protein Y modified by a labeling substance capable of recognizing specifically the analyte in a specimen act on the specimen or a sample including the specimen, so as to form a complex containing the analyte and the first protein Y, and a process for measuring the labeling substance contained in the complex generated in the process hereinbefore or the labeling substance contained in the free protein Y. The process for measuring the labeling substance is carried out by a chemiluminescent method, and the chemiluminescent method has a process for forming a latent image by sensing a light generated by chemiluminescence with a thermally developed photosensitive material containing at least an organic silver salt, a reducing agent for silver ion and a photosensitive silver halide particle, and a process for visualizing the latent image by heat development.
