The invention relates to a tool for producing plastic skins, which has a molding tool (3) and a support (1), whereby the molding tool (3) is placed over the support (1) in such a manner that a space (6) remains between the molding tool (3) and the support (1) and is filled with a metallic filling having a lower melting point than that of the material forming the molding tool (3). The invention also relates to a use of this tool for producing a plastic skin and to a method for producing a tool of this type. The inventive design enables a trouble-free exchanging of the molding tool (3).
