PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clutch capable of preventing any torque release when the torque inputting direction is changed, and a vehicular steering system using the same. SOLUTION: The clutch comprises a friction clutch unit A having an inner ring friction plate 31 integrally rotated with an inner ring 30 and an outer ring friction plate 33 integrally rotated with an outer ring 32, a coupling/uncoupling means B for coupling and uncoupling the inner ring 30 with/from the outer ring 32 by switching the clutch coupled state for pressing the inner ring friction plate 31 against the outer ring friction plate 33 so as to be brought into contact with each other and the clutch uncoupled state for releasing the pressed-to-contact state to couple and uncouple the inner ring 30 with/from the outer ring, and a two-way clutch unit C having a roller 35 arranged in a wedge space formed between the inner ring 30 and the outer ring 32 and a neutral spring 36 for biasing the roller 35 at the neutral position of the wedge space. The two-way clutch unit C moves the roller 35 to the wedge engaging position against the biasing force of the neutral spring 36 by the relative rotation of the inner ring friction plate 31 to the outer ring friction plate 33 in the coupled state of the friction clutch unit A, and performs the wedge engagement of the roller 35 between the inner ring 30 and the outer ring 32.
