<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resolution setting method, capable of displaying, even in use of a home TV as a computer monitor, a screen without cutting the periphery thereof in first OS, second OS, BIOS or the like when unpacking the first OS. <P>SOLUTION: S1: The BIOS 8 activates the second OS only first by power ON. S2: Two resolution setting tools 9 and 10 are activated on the second OS. S3 and S4: A mode check module checks whether a monitor display mode is over-scan or under-scan. S5: A test image and an Ajust button are displayed in the checked display mode, and Ajust information and EDID information at the completion of visual adjustment by the user are output to a specific file. S6: The specific file is copied to a predetermined holder of the first OS. S8; The BIOS setting is changed according to the content of the specific file. S9; The BIOS 8 is reactivated.
