<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which is easy to see even in a light environment. <P>SOLUTION: The display device has a back side liquid crystal monitor 26 which provides display selectively in a normal display mode (color display mode) or a high-contrast display mode (black-and-white mode), and an external light sensor 214 which detects the quantity of ambient light, and switches the display on the back side liquid crystal monitor 26 to a high-contrast (S43) when a luminance value based upon the quantity of ambient light detected by the external sensor 214 is larger than a predetermined value (BV15) (S35). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
