<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle deviation prevention device that makes it possible to give a warning torque of a proper strength according to traveling conditions of a vehicle and peripheral conditions. <P>SOLUTION: This vehicle deviation prevention device comprises a deviation judgment means, which detects a traffic lane where the one's own vehicle is traveling and judges whether or not the vehicle deviates from the traffic lane based on the positional relation between the traffic lane and the vehicle, and a warning means, which gives to a steering gear the torque for emitting a warning to a driver. This device also has a traveling environment grasping means, which grasps information on the lane width as a road traveling environment.
