<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hose manufacturing method capable of preventing the flotation or slackening of a wire when the wire reinforcing layer of a high pressure is knitted and capable of effectively preventing the expansion of a hose end part at the time of cutting of the hose, and a wire winding device. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the hose having the wire reinforcing layer 18 by winding a wire W around an inner pipe 14 includes a process for forming a habit to the wire so as not to expand the wire to the outside in the diametric direction of the inner pipe.
