PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pneumatic tire for a motorcycle, which ensures compatibility between wet control stability and wear resistance. SOLUTION: Drain performance is improved by providing circumferential grooves 26, inclined lug grooves 30, and sub lug grooves 34A to 34C. Uneven wear of the edge is suppressed, since the inclined lug grooves 30 and the sub lug grooves 34A to 34C are inclined and extended in the opposite direction to the tire rotating direction such that the inclined anglesθ1,θ2 are reduced from a tread end 24E toward the circumferential direction grooves 26 side. Since the input direction in turning from the road surface to the tire is the tire width direction and the extended direction of the grooves is approximately 90°at the tread end 24E, a block can be surely prevented from falling down and wet driveability is good.
