PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal capable of reducing user's trouble of setting a network identification ID in a communication terminal and further capable of reducing a setting error. SOLUTION: The communication terminal is equipped with a communication means 202 which transmits and receives communication packets between itself and a network, an input means 204 which inputs a specified ID with a less digit number than that of the network identification ID, and a calculation means 206 which calculates a calculation ID by using a given first arithmetic expression based on the network identification ID. The communication means 202 obtains each network identification ID existing in the vicinity from packet communication. The calculation means 206 calculates a calculation ID for each network identification ID obtained by the communication means 202 and then issues instructions to the communication means 202 to take part in a network where the calculation ID calculated and the specified ID input to the input means 204 are identical to each other.
