PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser marking device capable of improving the position precision of the line light projected to a plane to be irradiated by preventing increase of frictional resistance of a rocking support body by reducing the damage undergone by the rocking support body when an impulsive force is applied. SOLUTION: This laser marking device comprises a light source unit 9 for emitting the laser line light, the rocking body 8 holding the light source unit, the rocking support body 3 for rockably supporting the rocking body with respect to a base 1, a rotator 11 rotating following the rocking of the rocking body 8, a cap 18 for covering the rotator, an electric viscous fluid 13 that is filled into the cap and makes the rotator 11 sunk in it, and rocking detecting means 14 and 19 for detecting the rocking of the rocking body and applying voltage to the electric viscous fluid. Instead of the rocking detecting means, or together with the rocking detecting means, the laser marking device comprises an impulsive force detecting means 17 for generating voltage with an impulsive force and applying this voltage to the electric viscous fluid 13.
