PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyamic acid film which is free from a damage accompanied by the volatilization of a solvent, when imidized and molded to give the molded article, and can easily give uniform, smooth, non-flat molded articles excellent in heat resistance. SOLUTION: This polyamic acid film having the residues of an aromatic tetracarboxylic acid and the residues of an aromatic diamine in the main chain is characterized by having a thickness of 1 to 50μm and a thermally evaporable content of≤5 mass%.
