The module has a glass fiber (110) and an integrated a Fabry-Perot layer structure. The structure is designed as a layer arrangement using coating of a fiber surface (100) of the fiber. The structure has an electro-optic layer (42) provided with dielectric layer stacks (41, 43) and electrodes (3,5). The layer is attached to the surface such that light transmitted through the structure is modulated in its intensity by applying modulator voltage at the electrodes. The electro optical layer is implemented as an electro optical polymer layer.
