Digital broadcasting receiver and channel tuning method thereof

A digital broadcasting receiver is provided. The digital broadcasting receiver includes a storage unit (130) in which modulation type parameters for channels are stored; a signal receiver (110) which tunes a channel and receives a broadcasting signal; and a signal processor (120) which demodulates the received broadcasting signal using a modulation type parameter corresponding to the tuned channel. Accordingly, the time for channel conversion can be shortened by shortening the channel turning time.
