RECOVERY METHOD OF ACETIC ACID AND ACETIC ACID RECOVERED BY THE METHOD

A method for recovering acetic acid is provided to isolate high-purity acetic acid from a mixture of a vinyl compound and acetic acid easily by increasing a boiling point difference through polymerization of the vinyl compound. A method for recovering acetic acid from a mixture of a vinyl compound and acetic acid includes the steps of: adding a polymerization initiator to the mixture of the vinyl compound and acetic acid, and polymerizing the vinyl compound to prepare polymers having a relatively higher boiling point than that of the acetic acid; and separating the acetic acid having a relatively lower boiling point than that of the polymer of the vinyl compound from the mixture of the polymer and acetic acid using a distillation method.
