A center and width measuring apparatus is provided to maintain an edger roll in a horizontal condition by measuring center and width of the edger roll. An apparatus for measuring center and width of an edger roll that is interposed between a drive side and a work side comprises as follows. A measuring device body(100) is equipped with a fixing bar closely adhered to the drive side and a slide rail. A movable scale slider(200) that is inserted into the slide rail of the body moves right and left. A width adjusting unit(300) adjusts width by moving the movable scale slider due to operation of a lever. A digital measurement display unit(400) measures and displays width of an edger roll by sensing movement of the slider. In addition, a laser resonator(500) displays a standard center point of the edger roll by scanning a laser beam in a direction vertical to a measuring scale(230).
