One or more of the hinge assemblies may include a clamp assembly. disconnection of the tailgate from the hinge element that includes a clamp assembly is achieved by loosening of the clamp assembly (72, 74), the clamp assembly being self-aligning such that tightening of the clamp assembly causes the tailgate (20) to be drawn into proper alignment with other components of the tailgate assembly. |
