<p>An oil filter for an automatic transmission is provided to filter metallic alien substances smaller than an opening of a mesh by primarily and secondarily filtering the alien substances using the mesh and a magnet. An oil filter includes a frame(10) installed on a valve body, a mesh(11) installed in the frame, and a magnet(13a) installed in a proper position in the frame for filtering alien substances contained in working oil. The frame is formed in a cylindrical shape having an opened upper portion, a closed bottom and plural vertical columns. The working oil introduced in the upper portion of the frame passes through a side of the filter. The mesh is adapted to block a space formed between the vertical columns.</p> |
