The sensor has a determining circuit (130) determining a temperature of a medium (110) based on a temperature at a temperature sensor unit (120), a correction model (131) and an ambient temperature, which influences a thermic coupling between the sensor unit and the medium. The correction model reduces a difference between the temperature at the sensor unit and the temperature of the medium limited by the ambient temperature. The sensor unit is designed to produce a sensor signal (122) corresponding to the temperature at the sensor unit.
