A batch freezer for frozen food products comprises
- a freezing cylinder,
- a dasher designed to propel the product toward a discharge port of the cylinder, and
- a refrigeration unit arranged for cooling the cylinder,
wherein the discharge port can be selectively connected to a cleaning pipe leading from the discharge port into the casing of the batch freezer.
