A focus-managing method and a broadcasting-receiving apparatus using the same are provided to manage movement of focus between applications, which undertake broadcasting-related services, efficiently. A specific application among a plurality of applications, which are executable in a broadcasting receiver, determines an application which is to have a focus(S510). The specific application informs middleware of information about the determined application(S520). The middleware undertakes movement of the focus between applications. The information about the application includes at least one of an ID for an organization related with the application and an ID which the organization gives to the application.
