An apparatus is described for exhaust-gas recirculation for an internal combustion engine having an exhaust-gas recirculation line (8) between an exhaust-gas line (7), and an intake line (4) which is provided with a restrictor element (10), and having an exhaust-gas recirculation valve (9) in the exhaust-gas recirculation line (8), the valve element (13) of which exhaust-gas recirculation valve (9), which can be actuated counter to the force of a closing spring (16), is drive-connected to the restrictor element (10) and shuts off the exhaust-gas recirculation line (8) in the position of the restrictor element (10) for low engine output. In order to achieve advantageous exhaust-gas recirculation conditions by way of simple structural means, it is proposed that the valve element (13) of the exhaust-gas recirculation valve (9) forms a control piston (14) which is mounted displaceably in a cylinder (15) and has at least two control edges (17, 18) which act in opposite directions and delimit a connecting channel (19) for the two branches (20, 21) of the exhaust-gas recirculation line (8) which are connected to the cylinder (15) and are assigned on one side to the exhaust-gas line (7) and on the other side to the intake line (4), and shuts off the exhaust-gas recirculation line (8) in the position of the restrictor element (10) both for low and for high engine output. |
