<p>In various aspects of the present invention, carbohydrate ligands and peptide mimetopes of such ligands are provided which specifically bind to leczymes, and leczymes are provided which specifically bind to carbohydrate ligands and peptide mimetopes. Other aspects of the invention include methods for identifying, purifying and producing such carbohydrates, mimetopes and leczymes, and the use of such compositions in treating various diseases and otherwise modifying the functions of cells. Still other aspects of the invention involve diagnosis of various diseases involving carbohydrate ligands, peptide mimetopes of such ligands, and/or leczymes.</p> |
