<p>The method involves measuring and monitoring current and voltage constantly at a measuring point in a phase. Distance to an earth fault is calculated based on the measured phase voltage at the measuring point under consideration of earth impedance at the measuring point and at a fault location. The distance is calculated during exceeding of a given threshold value of a biasing voltage and during lowering of a minimum voltage of a phase conductor by the current and voltage measurements of a conductor resistance in the phase conductor up to the earth fault position.</p> |
