A battery-capacity management device is provided to manage a state of a battery by installing a capacity management device of the battery on a golf cart. A battery-capacity management device(20) includes a voltage detection unit for detecting a terminal voltage of a battery(21). A current detection unit detects a discharging current from the battery. A discharging amount calculation unit calculates the discharging amount of the battery. Map data representing a relationship between the terminal voltage of the battery and the discharge current is previously memorized on a memory(23) when a remaining capacity of the battery reaches a previously set value. An available capacity calculation unit calculates a predetermined discharging amount by the discharging amount calculation unit until the terminal voltage of the battery detected by the voltage detection unit reaches the voltage value of the map data corresponding to the current value detected by the current detection unit. The available capacity calculation unit updates the calculated available capacity to a new available capacity based on the calculated predetermined discharging amount.
