Extruder for producing thermoplastic granules has a metering unit (9) for the granules produced. This is fitted with scales (10) connected to a control unit (6) which controls the extruder so that the required degree of degassing takes place. An independent claim is included for a method for operating the extruder using the system described to adjust e. g. the speed of rotation of the extruder screw, its heating or cooling and optionally a vacuum pump connected to the degassing stage. |
