A keypad of a personal portable device is provided to allow a button of a key input button unit to be easily mounted on a button area to be suitable for a size and a position of the button area. A keypad of a personal portable device includes an elastic sheet(110), receiving projections(115), and input buttons(117). The elastic sheet has a plurality of button areas(113) for inputting characters or numbers defined thereon. The receiving projections are formed on the periphery of the button areas in order to separating the button areas. The input buttons are received in the receiving projections. Each of the input buttons are made of a film, a film supported by a metallic sheet, ceramic, glass, and metal. The receiving projections are continuously or discontinuously formed on the periphery of the input buttons.
