A system and a method for managing data quality by using data source classification codes, and a recording medium thereof are provided to enable a data quality manager to manage the data quality of data stored in an application database by assigning a data source classification code to the data received from a source database and storing the code to a data source classification code field of an application database. A data receiver(110) receives data from a source database of source database systems(1-N). A data source classification code assigner(115) assigns a data source classification code to the received data by checking source data warehouse information from protocol information included in the received data. A data storing part(120) stores the received data to each data field of an application database and stores the assigned data source classification code to a data source classification code data field. A data quality manager(130) manages data quality of the data stored in the application database. The source database comprises a first layer source database transferring the data to the database receiver and a second layer source database corresponding to a real data source of the transferred data.
