A method and a system for providing a Karaoke service in real-time are provided to enable a user to sing a song with Karaoke data in a desired place/time by downloading Karaoke data including accompaniment, background, and words of the song requested from the user in real-time, and solve a royalty problem for the song by providing the Karaoke service in real-time without storing the karaoke data to a karaoke device. A Karaoke service server stores authentication information of a member of a real-time Karaoke service and Karaoke data of songs to be provided, and provides the Karaoke data of the song selected by a user to a plurality of Karaoke devices in a real-time streaming mode through the network when the connected member is authenticated. The Karaoke device(100) includes a network interface(150), an output unit(130) outputting audio data of an audio file included in the Karaoke data, a display unit(140) displaying the background or the words of a video file included in the Karaoke data, a buffer(170) buffering the Karaoke data, and a Karaoke function processor(180). The Karaoke function processor decodes/outputs the buffered audio file to the output unit, decodes/outputs the video file to the display unit, and calculates/outputs a score when audio and video outputs are completed. Several keypads are prepared in a keypad unit(120), and a storage unit(160) stores driving software for Karaoke device. |
