A display device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to detect a fault of a signal line for sensing external stimulus, thereby improving sensing reliability. A display panel(100) includes plural pixels. A gate line(210) and a data line(220) are formed in the display panel. The data line defines a pixel by crossing the gate line. A first sensing line unit includes at least two first sensing lines(231) prolonged in parallel to the gate line. A second sensing line unit includes at least two second sensing lines(241) crossing the first sensing lines. A sensing driving unit(500,600) receives a predetermined electric signal corresponding to external stimulus from one of the first sensing lines of the first sensing line unit or one of the second sensing lines of the second sensing line unit. |
