<p>In a method for creating a three-dimensional virtual space, a display means is used to show (501) a view image of said virtual space visible to the virtual observer, said view image is updated (502) to correspond to a situation in which the virtual objects in said virtual space have been moved (503) according to what the parameter settings related to the virtual objects indicate as the ways of moving allowed for said virtual objects. The method is based on the fact that all ways of moving that are possible in theory are not sensible in practice. Parameters associated with the virtual objects make it possible to restrict the possibilities of moving different virtual objects in a virtual space, and therefore the computing capacity required for updating the view image is reduced. In addition, the set of parameters related to different virtual objects forms a compact database, which defines the operations that are possible in the virtual space and can be easily transferred from one apparatus to another.</p> |
