摘要 A fluorescent lamp, and a backlight unit and a liquid crystal display having the same are provided to prevent the ununiformity of luminance in a display region by bending both ends of the fluorescent lamp to minimize a lateral space occupied by electrodes. A fluorescent lamp(100) includes a discharge tube(110) and first and second electrodes(120,130) coupled to both sides of the discharge tube. A fluorescent material(111) is coated on an inner surface of the fluorescent lamp. The discharge tube is a hollow tube and both ends thereof are bent by a certain angle. The first and second electrodes include an electrode lead(121) and an electrode body(122) coupled to one end of the electrode lead. The first and second electrodes are inserted into and encapsulated on the both ends of the discharge tube by a bead glass(123). The electrode lead passes through the bead glass to be fixed on one end of the discharge tube and to be coupled to the electrode body prepared in the discharge tube.
