PEDESTRIAN SIGNAL LAMP

A pedestrian signal lamp is provided to reduce power consumption by executing a time division control scheme through which one LED(Light emitting Diode) is driven at a time. A pedestrian signal lamp includes a central controller(30), first and second signal generators(50,55), first and second LED drivers(60,65), and first and second LED illuminators(70,75). The central controller outputs a down counted signal according to illumination states of red and green signals. The first signal generator generates a number driving signal for displaying red and green illumination residual times corresponding to the down counted signal. The first LED driver converts the number driving signal from the first signal generator into an LED control signal based on a time division control scheme. The first LED illuminator illuminates LEDs according to the LED control signal converted through the first LED driver. The second signal generator generates operation control signals for displaying a still operation and a predetermined operation according to the illumination states of red and green signals. The second LED driver converts the number driving signal from the second signal generator into an LED control signal based on a time division control scheme. The second LED illuminator illuminates LEDs according to the LED control signal converted from the second LED driver.
