<p>The spindle (1) has a housing (6) with a pump element (20) e.g. micro gear-ring pump, and a distributor element (19), and a shaft accommodated in bearing elements (2-5) and driven by the bearing elements. The bearing elements have capillary feed lines (15-18) to supply lubricant e.g. oil, via the pump element to the bearing elements. The bearing elements have recesses (11-14) in outer rings (7-9) to receive the feed lines. The feed lines are connected with the pump element via the element (19). A borehole is provided for supplying air to pick up lubricant flowing out of the feed lines. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a spindle for a machine tool.</p> |
