A safety device of a telemeter for a lift is provided to control driving of a motor by allowing a manager to check maximum top and bottom dead centers of the lift in real time during an operation of the lift. A safety device of a telemeter for a lift includes a main body(100), a guide(200), a lower wheel(300), an upper wheel(400), a counter(500), and a controller(600). The main body is composed of a vertical frame(120) and a horizontal frame(140) crossing each other. The guide is composed of a horizontal roller(220) to support a wire(20) for moving up and down the lift and a pair of vertical rollers(240) installed at both sides of the horizontal roller to prevent separation of the wire. The lower wheel is coupled with a lower part of the vertical frame and rotated by a moving distance of the wire while being closely contacted to the wire by a slip preventing board(320) installed on a rotation surface thereof. The upper wheel is coupled with a sub frame(420) coupled with a lower end of a handle lever(440) and closely contacts the wire to the lower wheel while a rotation surface thereof is closely contacted to the wire. The counter is coupled with a center rotation axis of the lower wheel to sense a rotation number of the lower wheel. The controller is connected to the counter and converts the rotation number of the lower wheel into a distance to control driving of a reversible motor(30).
