METHOD FOR REPORTING CHANNEL QUALITY IN EGPRS SYSTEM

A method for reporting channel quality in an EGPRS(Enhanced General Packet Radio Service) system is provided to determine a demodulation and coding method suitable for a channel environment and effectively utilize radio resources. A base station transmits a radio block to a mobile station(S110). The mobile station checks whether the radio block includes a TFI(Temporary Flow Identity) belonging to the mobile station itself(S120). Upon checking the TFI, the mobile station measures channel quality(S130). The mobile station reports the measured channel quality to the base station(S140).
