An air foil bearing is provided to satisfy specifications of various products required for the bearing by allowing the heights of upper and lower bump foils to be controlled. An air foil bearing includes a housing(110), a top foil(120), and upper and lower bump foils(130,140). The housing contains a rotary shaft space(111) where a rotary shaft is embedded and rotates. The top foil is fixed to the interior of the housing along the circumference direction. The upper bump foil is formed in an uneven shape which is a repetitive pattern of convexes and concaves. The lower bump foil is also formed in an uneven shape corresponding to the upper bump. The upper and lower bump foils are interposed between the housing and the top foil to be in contact with each other. |
