发明名称 METHOD FOR REMOVING SOX WITH BRUCITE SLURRY
摘要 A method for removing SOx from flue gas by using brucite in a desulfurizing process is provided, and a brucite slurry that is structurally and thermally stable such that the brucite slurry can be used in the desulfurizing process is provided. A method for removing SOx by a brucite slurry comprises the steps of: preparing a brucite powder; mixing the brucite powder with water to obtain a brucite slurry; and contacting the brucite slurry with flue gas containing SOx to remove SOx from the flue gas, wherein the brucite powder is maintained to a temperature of 423±25 deg.C at which the thermal decomposition rate is maximum on a major weight reduction area when subjecting the brucite powder to thermal gravimetric analysis while heating the brucite powder at a rate of 5 deg.C/min under a nitrogen atmosphere. The brucite slurry injected into the desulfurizing process has a concentration range of 20 to 50%. The method comprises performing a wet desulfurizing reaction at a reactor temperature that is a circulating water temperature ranging from 55 to 75 deg.C to remove SOx by contacting the brucite slurry with the flue gas containing SOx. The method further comprises the step of activating the brucite slurry in a temperature range of 70 to 150 deg.C under a pressure of an atmospheric pressure or more.
