The invention provides a seat belt restraint system comprising a first and a second shoulder belt (5, 6) being attached to a common shoulder belt retracting mechanism. The shoulder belt retracting mechanism allows for asymmetric shoulder belt elongation and provides a sufficient length compensation for the two shoulder belts (5, 6).
