METALLO-Beta;-LACTAMASE INHIBITOR

摘要

Disclosed is a metallo-beta-lactamase inhibitor which can inactivate a beta-lactam antibiotic and recover the anti-bacterial activity of the beta-lactam antibiotic. A maleic acid derivative having a structure of the general formula (I) has an inhibitory activity against metallo-beta-lactamase. The use of the compound (I) in combination with a beta-lactam antibiotic enables to recover the anti-bacterial activity of the beta-lactam antibiotic against a bacterium capable of producing mettalo-beta-lactamase.
