DIGITAL TELEVISION DEVICES IMPLEMENTING A MULTIPLE STAGE BOOT-UP PROCESS

A digital television device for implementing a multiple stage boot-up process is provided to offer a control circuit and or firmware and method that reduce the turn on time of digital television devices. Information on which image a user watches among images provided from a cable, a set-top box, and a DVD player is recovered(S11). A first serve set of a register to be loaded is identified based on the information recovered from the final state of a television(S12). The first serve set of the resistor is loaded(S13). The television is controlled to display the same channel and images watched before the television is off according to the final state of the television(S14); and loading the rest resisters and finishing a booting process while the images are displayed(S15).
