ELECTRO OPTICAL DEVICE AND ELECTRONIC APPARATUS

An electro optical device and an electronic apparatus are provided to prevent a substrate to be broken even though the substrate constituting an electro optical panel such as a liquid crystal panel is thin. An electro optical device includes an electro optical panel(4) and a flexible wire substrate(11). The electro optical panel is formed by sticking a first substrate and a second substrate together. The flexible wire substrate is connected with the electro optical panel. The first substrate has a protrusion(24) protruding from the second substrate. The wire substrate has a flexible base material and a conductive pattern provided on the base material. The wire substrate is connected to the protrusion by adhesives. The wire substrate includes a wide width portion connected to the protrusion and a narrow width portion extending outwardly from an edge of the protrusion in the protruding direction.
