A dispersing agent for a carbon nanotube, a carbon nanotube composite, a carbon nanotube film, and a manufacturing method of the carbon nanotube film are provided to secure conductivity of a thin film produced by equally dispersing a great quantity of carbon nanotubes in a dispersing solvent and to prevent the original property of the carbon nanotube from being damaged. A dispersing agent(32) for dispersing strips(31) of a carbon nanotube has at least one chromophoric group including at least one aromatic carbon ring. The dispersing agent has the entirely plane structure. The chromophoric group includes at least one of a nitroso group, a thiocarbonyl group, an ethylene group, an acetylene group, and an azo group. The dispersing agent of the carbon nanotube is dye.
