An assembly includes a subsea tree 13 having an upper portion 37 with an external annular profile. The tree has a vertical passage 25, which may be a production passage, and a lateral passage 33 extending from the vertical passage. An adapter 39 lands on the upper portion of the tree and connects to the profile. The adapter has a passage 43 that registers with the vertical passage of the tree. A flowpath, which communicates with the lateral passage of the tree, extends laterally from the tree. The flowpath has an upward facing receptacle 36. A flow interface device 57 is mounted to and lands with the adapter. The flow interface device has inlet and outlet conduits 55, 59, one of which is connected to the passage in the adapter and the other of which stabs into sealing engagement with the receptacle as the adapter lands on the tree. The flow interface device may be a pump, a gas lift compressor or a flow meter. |
