An exterior panel installation method for a building is provided to improve combination between exterior panels and fixing members fixed to a wall of the building by applying adhesives to the rear surface of the exterior panel, and pressing the exterior panel to the fix member with a toothed part. An exterior panel installation method for a building includes the steps of: marking vertical and horizontal ink lines(L) on an outer wall(W) of the building; fixing fixing members(110) each having a base(112) and a toothed part(111), at the intersection of the vertical and horizontal lines; and applying adhesives on the rear surface of an exterior panel(120), and then pressing the exterior panel onto the fixing member so that the toothed part is driven into the exterior panel. The exterior panels includes first and second EPS(Expanded Poly-Styrene) boards(121,122), a glass fiber mesh(123), a reinforcing board(124), and a plaster layer(125). The glass fiber mesh is disposed between the first and second EPS boards. The reinforcing board is attached onto the first EPS board. The plaster layer is formed on the reinforcing board. The toothed parts of the fixing member penetrate the second EPS board and the glass fiber mesh, and reach the middle part of the first EPS layer. |
