A tray ejecting apparatus for a disk drive is provided to ease the shock applied to a catching pin by elastic deformation of an elastic piece and to rotate an eject arm in the direction a catching protrusion is released, so as to increase durability of the disk drive. A tray ejecting apparatus for a disk drive comprises a driving source, a plunger arm(80), a reset arm(90), and an eject arm(100). The driving source is installed with a tray(72) moved in and out of a main base(70) having a catching pin(74), and a driving piece(78) pulled in and out according to application of an electric signal. The plunger arm interlocks with the driving piece. The reset arm is installed in the tray and interlocks with the plunger arm. The eject arm is formed with a catching protrusion(110) which is caught by the catching pin selectively and provided with an elastic piece(112).
