VIDEO RECORDING APPARATUS HAVING STORING FUNCTION FOR RECORDING INFORMATION AND METHOD THEREOF

A video recording apparatus having a function of storing recording information and a recording method thereof are provided to store information about recorded images of a recording medium in a separate storage so as to check file contents easily without playing the recording medium. A method for storing recording information when recording images in a recording medium comprises the steps of: judging whether photographing and recording commands of the user are inputted through an operating part(S301); checking the recording number of recorded images(S302); increasing the recording number of the recorded images by one to set the recording number when the recorded image exists(S303); setting the recorded number into '1' when the recorded image does not exist(S304); receiving titles of images to be recorded from the user(S305); detecting the remaining capacity of the recording medium by checking the recorded images(S306); setting pre-set data and time into the recording data and time(S307); and re-setting a text file based on the detected recording information(S308).
