The invention relates to a device for preparation of plastic materials for recycling purposes, comprising a container (1) with an upper inlet opening (10) for the material. At least one tool (14) circulates around the vertical container axis in the container. Said tool leads the treated material towards an outlet opening (17) arranged in the bottom of the container (1) to which the housing (19) of at least one screw (21, 22) is connected. Each lateral wall (28) of the inlet opening (18), around which the tool (14) runs, defines a projection (36) extending continuously against the screw axis. Said projection (36) extends over a part of the circumference of the screw thread (30), such that the screw side edge of said projection (36) forms an uninterrupted cutting edge (39), cooperating with the screw threads (30).
