A device and a method for controlling display in a dual-CPU system are provided to prevent load from being concentrated on one control unit control by enabling both control units of the dual-CPU system not directly and physically connected with the display unit to control the display unit directly with a DPRAM(Dual Port RAM). A frame buffer(230) receives and temporarily stores a screen frame to be output. A display unit(240) displays the screen frame stored in the frame buffer. A DPRAM(220) is a temporary storage having two address lines and is accessed by two control unit at the same time. A second control unit(210) sequentially stores one of screen data dividing the screen frame into a size as much as the size to be stored in the DPRAM, and stores an output request interrupt to the DPRAM. A first control unit(200) reads the screen data stored in the DPRAM, stores the read screen data to the frame buffer, and stores an output response interrupt representing operation responding to interrupt when the output request interrupt is stored to the DPRAM.
