A roof carrier is provided to allow a user to move a cross bar into a desired position through rolling contact of a ball bearing with a channel at two points. A roof carrier includes a pair of side bars, a channel, a cross bar(20), a ball support member(30), and a ball bearing(40). The side bar is disposed on the upper portion of a vehicle. The channel is formed along an internal side surface of the side bars. The cross bar has two opposite ends coupled to the channel so that the cross bar horizontally moves. The ball support member is provided at two opposite ends of the cross bar. The ball bearing is received in the ball support member.
