A plasma display panel is provided to prevent a light leakage to a rear substrate by reflecting the light leaked to the rear substrate to project it through a front substrate. A rear substrate module(70) includes a rear substrate(71), electrodes(65,72), rear dielectrics(73,74), an additional dielectric layer, and a fluorescent substance layer(75). The rear substrate is formed to be opposite to a front substrate module(60). The electrodes are formed on the rear substrate. The rear dielectrics bury the electrodes. The additional dielectric layer is formed on the rear dielectrics. The additional dielectric layer is made of a material having transmissivity different from the rear dielectrics. The fluorescent substance layer covers a barrier rib(76) and the additional dielectric layer in a discharge space(79). The additional dielectric layer is colored by a complementary color with a front dielectric of the front substrate module.
